Altitude Pullover By Peek-a-Boo Patterns

First day off of school for the summer for the kids so I will have to make this a quick one or maybe I should go nice and slow so I can manage to get some time to myself today. Today we will be looking at a kids clothing pattern the Altitude Pullover. This is a unisex pattern that, depending on the weight of the fabric you decide to use it can be a sweatshirt or it can be a regular long sleeve (she also has the pattern made into women's and men's versions so the whole family can match but we will get into those patterns another day). It does have binding on the bottom of the pullover and sleeves which gives it more of a sweatshirt look.

This patterns sleeves are a raglan style which means there is no seam on the shoulder, it is one piece that extends to the neck leaving a diagonal seam in the front and back. The base of the shirt sews up like a normal raglan style shirt but it has secret pocket once you add the front panel. The added panel/pocket extends all the way up to the neck and the edges have a nice decorative piping/knit accent, this piece you really have to pin or it likes to move on you as you are sewing the pieces together. It comes with a cowl neck option and a crew neck option or you can purchase the Youth hood add on pack by the same designer and put a hood on it (it has 3 style hoods in the add on pack and can be added to almost all her other shirt/dress patterns). I have made one with a hood and 2 with the cowl but in my opinion the cowl is a bit more feminine for my boys than they like so we stick with the hooded version.

As always the instructions are written wonderfully and has detailed photos with each and every step. I love that if one of the pattern pieces is a rectangle or a square she puts the measurements in the instructions instead of making you print out a piece instead and waste paper. Most of her new patterns (and updating the older ones) come with the layers option when printing so you only have to print the lines of the size you need saving ink.

Sizing fits true to ready to wear (RTW) clothing items. My sons LOVE the large pocket in the front they can fit a bunch of stuff in it you know like little boys do, just make sure to find all those hidden rocks, sticks, and hot wheel cars before you wash it.

I will definitely make this pattern again many more times. If you need help, have questions, or just want to see some sewing tutorials join me on my Facebook group . Feel free to request reviews and sew alongs.
